ETV
The Ohio Education and Training Voucher Program is a federally-funded, state-administered program designed to help youth who were in U.S. foster care. Students may receive up to $5,000 a year for qualified school related expenses. Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible students. Applicants must complete the ETV application which includes documentation each semester that is sent directly from the school to ETV confirming enrollment, the cost of attendance (COA) and unmet need.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- You must be a current or former foster student who:

- was in U.S. foster care on your 18th birthday and aged out at that time.

OR
-

- was in foster care, legal custody or guardianship to a kinship caregiver at or after 16.

OR
-

- was adopted from U.S. foster care at age 16 and older

OR

- will have your foster care case closed between the ages of 18 and 21.

- You must be a U.S. citizen or a qualified non-citizen.
- You may apply for ETV funds up to the age of 26.
- The maximum number of years a student can receive ETV funding five (5) years, (consecutive or intermittent).
- You must have been accepted into or be enrolled in a degree, certificate, or other accredited program at a college, university, technical, vocational school.
- To remain eligible for ETV funding, you must show progress toward a degree or certificate.

- Complete your online ETV Application (CLICK HERE)
- Confirm your enrollment and Cost of Attendance in one of two ways:
- Print and Sign a Financial Aid Release Form (CLICK HERE) and drop it off at your Financial Aid Office (they’ll complete it and send it to ETV)
OR - Email a copy of your award letter or email a copy of your school bill that includes your name, itemized list of charges, financial aid award, and remaining balance for the semester.

- Submit your budget; this will help you manage your money and plan for the semester
