A Message to the Business Community

OFA’s Workforce and Student Leadership Development programs teach our students the leadership and employment skills necessary to succeed in school and enter the workforce.

OFA works directly with students to assist them in preparing for real work experience. Students attend OFA’s Career Development program which teaches workplace etiquette, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and the value of networking.

Students who successfully complete the Career Development course are then put in contact with professionals in our “Business Connections” network who have volunteered to share their time and expertise. This network consists of employers and professionals supporting students with career guidance, information about the realities of their chosen field. Most importantly, they share leads and opportunities for internships and employment.
